The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
